Rema, born Divine Ikubor, has been described as ‘Nigerian pop’s golden child’, gaining millions of streams and views with only a handful of releases.

Beginning his music journey aged 11, from his home in Benin City, Edo State, Rema was inspired by pop stars like Michael Jackson and gospel musicians TBI and Frank Edwards. Last year, the 19 year old signed to Mavin Records and released his self-titled EP, featuring hit single Iron Man, which made it onto former US president Barack Obama’s 2019 summer playlist. In December, he took to the stage at Afro Nation Festival Ghana, appearing on a line-up including fellow Nigerian artists Wizkid, Davido, D’Banj, Olamide and Grammy-nominated singer Burna Boy.
